A colour sketch.

If I'm not sure of the colours I want to use (as in this piece), I'll do a quick PhotoShop 'sketch' to experiment.

These are the kind of colours I'm looking for for this painting. Nice and simple. It does mean I'll have to go and buy some new paints though, as I tried (and failed) to mix that nice background colour with what I've got and ended up miles from what you see here.

Doing this also lets me know if the end result will be worth going for. In this case, I think it is.
